Summer Projects!

Summer Projects!

A hole in the house?

Grandpa recently added a new window to the basement of our home.
He did an amazing job!
A huge hole!

The new window is in place.

The trim and finish work are done.

The new window has added so much
light to the kids' playroom.
Thanks Dad!  We love it!!!

A new fence.... in stages.
Stage 1:
Teresa's Dad helped her dig and cement in the new posts. The old fence was nearly falling dow
n!

Stage 2:
The brackets and supports were added.

Stage 3:
Down comes the old fence!  Hurray!!
Stage 4:
We had 5 yards of dirt delivered, and then moved it up inside the new fence.

Stage 5:
With the help of some wonderful, hard-working friends...
the new fence boards went up!

Stage 6:
The final touches!

We're very excited about the extra yard space,
added privacy and beautiful new fence!

Thank you to everyone that helped us with this huge project!!!

Summer 2008

This summer we have already travelled quite a bit. We took a trip out to Pacific Beach with the Ulrigg side of the family and had a great time. Jayden gave Grandma a run for her money with a soccer game. We stopped in to see Jim and Jackie in Aberdeen and had a great visit. Next we headed out to see Great-Grandma and Great-Great Grandad in Idaho. Jayden and Sierra both got a real kick out of Chi-si and of course swimming in the pool in the front yard. The weather was HOT, so cooling off was a must. It was nice to see Aunt Dixie, Uncle Junior, Aunt Gail, Uncle Allen and Uncle Kenneth as well. After that, we headed up to Pullman to visit with Auntie Liz and Uncle Keith and of course Aunties Lisa and Di. We spent the fourth of July with them and had a great time. The kids really enjoyed playing in the pool and the traditional trip to Ferdinands. We also took Jayden bowling for the first time and had a blast. We got to visit with good friends and bowl, what better of a time can you have? I will add more pics of the trip later. Thank you to all who have made time to visit with us on our travels.

Auntie Liz, Uncle Keith, Cheryle and the girls feeding the ducks on our trip to Pullman.
Meeting for church with Aunties Lisa and Di. Our Sunday tradition revisited when we were in town.
What is this on my hands? Sierra's first birthday at Uncle Keith and Auntie Liz's house. She was not all that interested in eating the wonderful cake that Auntie Liz made her, but she liked to squish it in her hands.
Jayden was very excited to be wearing her "Birthday Princess" crown and hugging her Hello Kitty doll.
Jayden being the most awesome big sister by showing Sierra how the sidewalk chalk is supposed to be used.
